Privacy policy
Last updated 20 August 2026
The short version. We collect only what we need to run the service and respond to you. Your data is hosted in Canadian regions. We do not sell your data and we do not share it with advertisers. You can export or delete what you have given us by asking.
Who we are
2Labs Advisory is a Canadian software and advisory company operating from Alberta, Canada. For the purposes of this policy, we are the organization responsible for the personal information described below. You can reach us at hello@2labs.ca.
What we collect on this website
- Information you give us. If you email us or submit the contact form, we receive your name, email address, organization and whatever you write in the message.
- Basic technical information. Our hosting provider records standard web server information such as IP address, browser type and pages requested, for security and reliability purposes.
This website runs no advertising trackers, marketing pixels or profiling of individuals, and we do not sell or share personal information with data brokers.
Analytics and cookies
This website sets no cookies at all, and stores nothing on your device. There is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to.
We use Fathom Analytics to see which pages are read and which are not. Fathom is cookieless: it gives your browser no identifier, so it cannot recognise you when you come back, and it cannot follow you to any other website.
- To tell one visit from another within a day, Fathom takes your IP address and browser user-agent and turns them into a one-way hash, salted per site. It does not keep the IP address or the user-agent themselves, and the hash is discarded after roughly 48 hours.
- We see totals — pages viewed, referring sites, countries, devices. We cannot see an individual person, and neither Fathom nor we build a profile of you.
- Fathom is our processor. It does not sell data, does not use it for advertising, and does not share it across its customers.
Until 8 September 2026 this site used Google Analytics behind an opt-in notice. That has been removed entirely, along with the notice, and no Google Analytics cookie is set any more. If you accepted it previously, its _ga cookies will expire on their own, and clearing your browser’s data for this site removes them immediately.
Fonts and third-party resources
This site loads typefaces from Google Fonts, which means your browser makes a request to a Google server that will include your IP address. If you would prefer this not to happen, the fonts can be self-hosted — tell us and we will prioritise it.
Why we collect it
- To respond to your enquiry
- To deliver services you have engaged us for
- To meet legal, tax and professional obligations
- To keep the service secure and available
What we do not do
- We do not sell personal information
- We do not share it with advertisers or data brokers
- We do not use your data to train third-party AI models
- We do not send marketing you did not ask for
Where your data lives
Personal information collected through this website and through our products is hosted on Microsoft Azure in Canadian regions. Some operational services we rely on — for example email delivery and payment processing — may process limited data outside Canada. Where that is the case we use providers with recognised safeguards, and we will tell you which providers apply to your engagement if you ask.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept for as long as needed to respond and for a reasonable period afterwards. Client records are kept for the duration of the engagement and for the period required by tax and professional obligations. You may ask us to delete information we are not required to keep.
Your rights
Under Canadian privacy legislation, including PIPEDA and Alberta’s Personal Information Protection Act, you have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to have inaccurate information corrected, to withdraw consent, and to make a complaint. Email hello@2labs.ca and we will respond within thirty days.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta.
Security
We use access controls, encryption in transit, and tenant isolation in our products. No system is perfectly secure, and we will notify affected individuals and the appropriate regulator if a breach creates a real risk of significant harm. See our security and data residency page for more detail.
Children
This website is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. Material changes affecting how we use existing personal information will be communicated directly to affected clients.
